It may be easy to just unload boxes and pile them into your unit, but you’ll be so much happier in the long run if you take time to organize the area and document what you have. If you misplace anything later or forget what you have, you’ll have a visual and written reminder of whether or not it was ever stored in your rental unit.
• You’ll also minimize your risk of theft if you don’t keep highly valuable items in storage for long periods of time. Small items like jewelry are better stored in a safety deposit box at a local-area bank. And, if you aren’t planning to use your items for a long time (and they aren’t family heirlooms), you may want to consider selling your stuff. It’s a great way to make some extra cash and free up space in your storage unit for off-season items…or even inventory for your next small business venture!!

The City of Bel Aire Kansas has relatively recent beginnings. In fact, did you know that it took a Kansas Supreme Court ruling in 1980 in order for Bel Aire to attain city status? Yes, it’s true! For two years, the City of Wichita tried to prevent this former improvement district from becoming a city. Residents wanted to escape the “big city” life of Wichita but remain close to shopping and amenities in the area.
